Holiday Colors ~ Part 1

 

As always, there are so many wonderful and creative fashion choices for the Holidays in SL!  The over abundance of beautiful frocks sometimes makes it hard for a girl to decide what to wear…and sometimes my budget can make it hard too.  Fortunately for us SL’ers, there’s always something great everyone one can choose from…ranging from free to the sky’s the limit!

I’ve decided this year to just show a few of my favorites, some traditional and some non-traditional choices.  I’d also like to take this time to thank ALL of the many designers who bring these choices to us!  Your creativity and the time put into the clothing you make for us is truly appreciated…all year round!

 

The "Mahari” dress from Zaara is my favorite go to frock for any type of semi-formal party!  The detailed attention on the mesh bodice is amazing and it extends around to the back of the dress.  The design of the skirt is beautiful with its blend of the different shades of color.  I think either of these two colors are festive for the holidays, and right now the red one (called “bordeaux), along with all red shaded items in the store, is on sale for 50% off at Zaara’s Red Tag Sale, and today is the last day..so hurry on over! 

Also, if you are a Zaara’s group member you can get the richly detailed gift of the  “Eila” kada and “Rupa” kada bracelets that I’m wearing above and below.  A set for men is also included!

 

Add some shine to your eyes and feet with the “Fashion Prim Sable Glitter Silver Eyelashes” (a steal @ $L20) from Gelese Giano and the “Free P10 Gemini Ice Queen Heels” from Purrfect 10.  There is a joining fee of $L510, but it is sooo worth it!  Not only do you get the shoes shown, but all the past releases too!The lashes also come in glitter gold and just plain sable.

  Ohhh…and the awesome and patient Ten Dexler has just put out “The Skin Bible” which gives you the skin rgb numbers for a slew of well known skins from around the grid.  As you can see my heels are perfectly matched with my LAQ Imani skin in cocoa!

An Order of Paisley Please!

One of my favorite prints to wear is paisley…but it has to be bright!  This Red Paisley dress from Vinyl Café absolutely fills the bill!  As soon as I saw it I had to snap it up!  The sleeve detail and the tulip shaped skirt make it delightfully eye catching!

 I just to add the very royal and majestic earrings from Finesmith’s “Kay” set, and I found some color change bangles from Exodi that I’ve had in my inventory for a while.  The gold KOS bag from Glow Studios was a past TDR offering and came in a pack of 3.  Paired with the gold belt…this look takes you from day into evening.

I immediately decided the Serenity Crimson Denim heels were a perfect match. I’m really loving the gold sheen in the material of these shoes!

It’s been awhile, but between waiting for my laptop to be repaired and school…I haven’t had much opportunity to post.

Since I finally have my lappy back, and we’re still having a heat wave…I’m happy to be able to show you this hot bikini from StarFashion’s “SenSilk” line!  I headed over to the beautiful **Caribbean Resort** Beach to soak up some cooler sun and fun and snap a few pics for you.

The purple and yellow color combination scream royalty, and that’s just what this luscious swimwear makes you feel like!  Sunflower flip flops from Likka House match up nicely, and they were very easy to skin match too.

I love the beaded detail on the top and the beaded bow on the waist…it kind of reminds me of a wrapped present!

Ear Candy’s “Hot and Bothered” jewelry set accents this suit with it’s burst of colors and fun design.

The back view shows you the simplicity of the halter top and the cute triangle fit of the bottom.

The amazing Gelese Giano has done it again with the Le Femme Prive Couture dresses, shown here in red!

Featuring a stunning and unique system skirt, the sides are cut out so only the front and back shows the sheer ruffles.

Yes! The weekend is finally here, and more importantly it’s a holiday weekend.  I’m amazed and excited at all the exciting happenings this weekend that are tying in with the holiday!

Jeans are usually my uniform when Saturday rolls in, but I decided to go with Gizza’s Denim Corset Light Blue Dress.

The delicate flower motif on the sheer blouse extends around to the back, to the collar, and graces the corset part of the dress in the front as well as in the back.

Hair Fair 2011 started yesterday (and runs through the 16th). There are many gifts and dollarbies there. I’m wearing “Bob” in Ink, which is part of a color sample fatpack from Lamb.

Of course I’m always excited when new shoes and boots are released, like the newly released and addictive “Persephone Boots” from Purrfect !0! They are so easy to color match with a great matching system, and of course each color you purchase has the option to change part or all of the boot to black!

 

Another great feature is they come with 2 sizes in the package; Size 45 and Size 60, and these sizes correspond to the "leg muscles" setting in appearance/legs, so easy fitting for all!

Life’s A Beach!

 

Summertime is finally here and being able to go to the beach is something that I look forward to all winter.  I wanted to make sure I got there in the evening so there would be less sun.  That’s the perfect time for my beach ball yoga exercises!

For my first beach outing I wanted to wear a bikini that was bright and colorful, and the “Ethnic Indi Bikini” from StarFashion was the perfect choice! I wanted this suit instantly at first sight because I love these colors together!

It’s made from sensuous silk that won’t weight you down once you get wet. I wanted to show you that the attention to detail carries on to the back, accented by a beautiful silver triangle!

As you can see, those accents start at the front, and are showcased by beautiful bead work on both the top and bottom.

Well, it’s fully dark now and I had a great workout. While winding down under a tree and the moon, I used that time to reflect on the first time I met the owner of StarFashion, Mrs. Diane Cyberstar.  She gave me some great tips and advice, along with a great conversation, and I truly appreciate the time she gave.  Thank you Diane!

One of my favorite holidays is fast approaching and here I am..trying to raise the roof for our upcoming “Independence Day”….or as some of us like to say…”The 4th of July” lol!.  Yes I know…I’m a little too short and my arm doesn’t quite reach, but I’m still feeling confident and excited in this cute and fun “Independence 4th Mini and Formal Gown” from the fabulous Gelese Giano!

What I love about this dress is that it also comes with the ability to transform into a formal evening gown with the Flexi three tier ruffle Skirt (touch re size) and the silk elbow length gloves.

The star worn on the shoulder is sculpted with diamonds and curly ribbon  and adds just the right detail to make this dress different and special.

Painstakingly crafted from hand painted silk, it flows and settles softly and sensually with every movement!

I really try to immerse myself in holiday celebrations, so I added the “Statue of Liberty” crown from another “4th of July” outfit, along with some matching earrings and a bracelet.  Now I’m totally ready to party!

I never used to pay much attention to hair accessories, but lately they’re getting too hard to ignore.  Many are like beautiful art, and the “Princess” from "*SoliDea Folies*” takes its rightful place in that category!

It’s funny…  as far as dresses I go, I used to stay away from the colors blue and pink, but some recent discoveries have me singing a different tune!

The “Avona” Blue from Sascha’s Designs called to me when I saw it.  It may have been that touch of green and the beautiful detailing on the front that did it for me. This gorgeous dress comes with a few different skirt choices as well.

The “Serenity” Ocean shoes are one of the latest group gifts from Purrfect 10.

Skin matching was a breeze, and the hud is very easy to use…I love that green toenail polish was available!

I’m always amazed with the pieces from FineSmith Designs, and I love the way the colors are blended in the “Ocean Wind” pieces. 

Both the necklace and the bracelet are resizable.

Topping it all off is the elegant “Mandy” hair from Bliss Couture, and it’s part of the Bliss Couture Hair Sale 50% off until June 12th.

I enjoyed the beauty of Alirium Gardens, and explored it for a couple of hours.  It’s a very inspirational and peaceful place and I’ll be sure to visit again.

Happy Pants & Feet!

Spring has sprung and that always makes me happy!  Nothing lifts my spirit like longer and warmer days, more sunshine, and the bloom of nature.  For some reason I have to coordinate my sl wardrobe with my rl seasons.  And if I visit a sim with snow I have to put on a coat.  (Hoping I'm not the only one that does this ??!!) Anyway...I found some pants that I've dubbed my "happy pants", because that's the feeling I got immediately after putting on the "Jasmine" pants  from Sascha's Designs.

Of course a girl must have happy feet to go with her happy pants...and I found some in the past couple of weeks that fit the bill, starting with a brand new release at Sim-I-Lar Shoes!  I literally gasped with pleasure when I saw these (and my toes wiggled with joy)!

They come in oodles of colors, an open toe style (shown below), as well as a closed toe style.  They are also very versatile with texture changes for the bands, metal, and heels, and the hiding and showing of the bands and the platform.  You can even input the RGB colors of your skin for perfect matching. I'm just showing some of the combination changes below:

Last, but definitely not least is the "K.I.A." shoes from LeLutka. It was so hard to take these off, so I just kept finding items in my wardrobe to match them for about a week. The EverGreen color was exclusive to the Shoe Fair 2011 and not available seperately but is included in the fatpack.
